Employee Interview with Stacey Wood – Payroll Manager
Payroll Manager – Stacey Wood.
How would you describe your day job to a child?
Processing payroll for people in different sectors of work such as education, healthcare and construction.
What do you like most about your job?
I enjoy coming into the office as we all get along so well. The quizzes we do are always fun and we have a laugh. I like the fact that we are processing payments for workers, as everybody goes to work to get paid at the end of the day, so I enjoy this.
What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?
Checking updates for tax codes, student loans, pension opt-outs. Receiving schedules from the agencies, raising invoices, processing multiple payrolls.
When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?
More than likely when we have done a quiz in the office and either we don’t agree with an answer or somebody puts a daft answer.
Favourite Gigs/Concerts
I do enjoy going to gigs, I do have a few favourite gigs so far like Robbie Williams at the Etihad, The Courteeners at Heaton Park and a load more to be honest.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Gin, Prosecco, Spice Girls, Steps, Blue, Five – 90’s pop!! and obviously Lewis Hamilton
